Greenlit

We checked out the Lincoln Park Zoo's holiday light display.

While waiting for friends to park, we sat outside on some benches near the entrance and witnessed several people slip on the same patch of barely-visible ice. After a while we started warning people as they approached.

Such vocal precautions must be how people avoided ice-related injuries in the old days before salt was invented.

  1. Salt has been around for a pretty long time, but I'm just saying..
Why didn't you call me to watch people fall on the ice? You know that is my favorite past time. In my working years we knew where all the icy spots were.. and would watch people walk across parking lots.. knowing they were going down, and laugh ourselves sick as they approached a nice icy patch. Ahhh.. makes me miss my working days.. (not really).
